Yes! Even you can make Virtual Reality a reality using the Free and Open Source Software Sweet Home 3D.

Let’s face it, virtual reality can be pretty cool! You can immerse yourself in an alternative universe; watch VR videos that make you feel as if you were actively par-taking in a scene (or two); experience hair tingling activities such as roller coaster rides; and ‘visit’ places without ever having to leave your own home! All from as little as £10 (ish) with a Google Cardboard VR headset. (Of course!) So when I heard about a swish new extension taking place at work I just had to get my hands on the architectural plans and transform them into 3D!

 

1 – I wanted to see what the building would look like before it would be finished.
2 – ‘because I can’.

 

But how do you actually bring to life designs, dreams and visions yourself without breaking the bank or undertaking a university degree!? Well to begin with dream big, but start small!
